About the role

We’re seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to lead development and delivery of high-quality software solutions. As a full-time remote role based anywhere in the Philippines, you’ll work with Australian enterprises to define, build and execute test strategies that ensure product integrity and scale.

What you'll be doing

• Design, author and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts and suites across UI, API, integration and performance layers
• Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases for functional, integration, regression and non-functional requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, architects, QA) to define test strategies and ensure release quality
• Perform manual testing as needed (exploratory, user acceptance) and ensure automation covers high-value repeatable scenarios
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates to enable continuous delivery and early defect detection
• Identify, analyse and report defects, track quality metrics, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, frameworks, techniques (including shift-left testing, test-automation best practices, and AI-assisted testing)
• Contribute to improving test processes, tooling, standards and documentation to uplift the QA practice across engagements

What we're looking for

• 5–8+ years experience in QA testing and software quality, with strong focus on automation engineering
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman/Newman or equivalent
• Strong proficiency with APIs, integration and system testing, and ability to craft testable scenarios for complex workflows
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and integrating automation into build/release pipelines
• Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle, agile practices, test strategies and quality assurance best practices
• Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail with structured approach to testing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with both business stakeholders and engineering teams
• Experience or interest in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and modern architectures (microservices, API-first, event-driven) is a plus
• Passion for quality, automation and continuous improvement
